Not sure which size to order?
For people who would like to treat their acute or chronic sinusitis (inflammation in the sinus cavities) by nebulising antibiotics, steroids or saline solution. The PARI SINUS2 is suitable for adults and children from 6 years.
With the PARI SINUS2 compressor nebuliser, you can effectively treat your sinusitis. The nebuliser produces an aerosol: a mist of small droplets of medicine or saline solution. The aerosol enters your nostrils through the nasal joining piece. The SINUS2 pulsates the medicine instead of providing a continuous flow. The aerosol also reaches the sinus cavities, where it’s needed. This is unique: nasal sprays and nasal rinses often do not reach the sinus cavities, and with tablets, the medication is distributed throughout the body. A treatment with the SINUS2 will help you reduce symptoms and loosen stuck mucus. Would you like to treat the lungs as well? This is possible with the appropriate PARI LC SPRINT nebuliser.
How to use the PARI SINUS2
The SINUS2 has 2 connection tubes. Although both tubes are identical, they each have their own function when you use the device. One tube is intended for the supply of compressed air, the other for generating vibrations (pulsations). You can connect the tube for the compressed air to the nebuliser from below. Insert the tube for the pulsating air inflow into the adapter for vibration, which you connect into the top part of the nebuliser. Each of the tubes has its own connection on the compressor.
The illustration below (from the manual) clarifies the operation and tube system of the SINUS2:
A treatment with the SINUS2 takes an average of 5 to 10 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes. Close one nostril with the nasal plug, but you can also keep the nostril closed by pressing it with your finger. Closing the nostril with the nasal plug is preferred. The nasal joining piece of the nebuliser goes into the other nostril. You inhale the aerosol through the nasal joining piece. Switch nostrils halfway through the treatment. During the treatment, you’ll need to close the soft palate. To do this, pronounce the letters “ing” as one word for as long as possible. Repeat this after a short breathing pause until you finish your treatment. More tips can be found in the user manual.
The compressor and spare parts must be cleaned according to the instructions that you’ll find in the manual. If the compressor is used by several people, each user needs its own spare parts in order to prevent cross-contamination. In addition, it’s recommended to replace the spare parts every year. In our online store, you can order the PARI SINUS2 Year Pack with replacement parts. Do you want to transport or store the PARI SINUS2 safely? Then have a look at the PARI shoulder bag (with handle and shoulder strap)!
