For healthcare professionals who would like to measure the oxygen saturation in their patients and for people who would like to measure their oxygen saturation continuously (at night, for example).
The Contec CMS60D1 is the successor to the Contec CMS60D. This updated version is just as reliable and has a more modern design. The CMS60D1 also measures the perfusion index (PI), the strength of the pulse signal. The perfusion index provides insight into the reliability of the measured oxygen saturation (SpO2). Optionally, you can choose a password to ensure that only you can access the device.
The results are clearly displayed on the colour screen: the oxygen saturation, the pulse rate and the perfusion index. The display of the latter value is optional. The CMS60D1 handheld oximeter gives an alarm (beep sound and flashing light) if the saturation or pulse rate falls below a certain value. You can preset this value yourself and consult it on the screen. You can also adjust the sound level of the alarm. Furthermore, the time is displayed on the screen. The pulse oximeter is easy to use: you can navigate through the menu with the buttons.
A major advantage of the Contec CMS60D1 is the integrated lithium-ion battery, which is rechargeable. Replacing batteries is a thing of the past! When fully charged, the battery run time is 8 hours. You can view on the screen how far the battery is charged. Is it almost empty? Then connect the handheld pulse oximeter to a computer or laptop with the USB cable. Connect the cable to the USB plug if you want to charge the pulse oximeter in a wall socket. Both the USB cable and the USB plug are included.
The Contec CMS60D1 comes with an adult sensor. A paediatric sensor and neonatal sensor are available separately. A screwdriver is also included, very useful to attach the sensor to the pulse oximeter even better. Especially recommended at night: this way you can be sure that the sensor will remain attached! In adults and children, you can measure the saturation on the finger. In babies and newborns (neonates) on the finger or toe.
On the device, you can consult the oxygen saturation, pulse rate and perfusion index during and after the measurement. The CMS60D1 has an internal memory. If you wish, you can upload the data to a computer or laptop. Following the measured values in realtime on the computer/laptop screen is also possible, as long as the pulse oximeter is connected to the computer or laptop (with the USB cable). Download the software in advance according to the instructions that you’ll find in the box.
