For whom is the POWERbreathe Shaker Deluxe suitable?

For people with stuck mucus due to chronic conditions such as COPD, asthma and cystic fibrosis. Also suitable for acute problems such as the flu and frequent coughing.

Device for getting rid of mucus

The POWERbreathe Shaker Deluxe is an innovative PEP device. The most important function of this device is that it effectively releases stuck (bronchial) mucus. When you exhale through the mouthpiece, a steel ball will rise and fall in the shaker, causing vibrations and creating a light resistance/pression in your airways. Changes in air pressure make your airways more open and the mucus loosens. During your training you will hear the ball go back and forth. Training takes between 5 and 15 minutes.

Different mouthpieces

The Shaker Deluxe has an innovative and ergonomic design. A major advantage is that you can use it both sitting or lying down. It is important to keep the shaker horizontal during use. You will receive 2 mouthpieces: a soft mouthpiece and a harder mouthpiece. The different parts are easy to assemble and disassemble.

Coughing up mucus with huffing

With the Shaker Deluxe you loosen the stuck mucus. By huff coughing (huffing) you remove the loose mucus from your airways. Hugh coughing techniques complete your respiratory therapy and allow you to breathe more freely. A physiotherapist or doctor can help you with these techniques.

Easy to clean

Thoroughly clean the Shaker Deluxe after each use, preferably with the POWERbreathe cleaning tablets for the best result. The different parts are easy to disassemble. Let 1 tablet dissolve in 2 liters of cold or lukewarm water and put the Shaker Deluxe in for at least 30 minutes. Then rinse well under the tap. After use, you can safely store the various parts in the supplied storage pouch. Ideal for in your bag or suitcase. The Shaker Deluxe is not suitable for use by more than one person due to the risk of cross-contamination.
