ResMed AirSense 10* |
Löwenstein Medical prisma SMART (SMART, SMART plus and SMART max)* |
Löwenstein Medical prisma SOFT (SOFT, SOFT plus and SOFT max)* |

*For these models, a cable kit is required, which you can order as a bundle at the bottom of this page.
TIP: Turn off the humidifier and heated tubing when using your CPAP with the Pilot Flex, as they significantly reduce battery runtime.
Runtime of the battery
When fully charged, the battery can be used for 1 to 2 nights before needing to be recharged. The exact runtime depends on different factors such as your CPAP model and therapy pressure. Click here for an overview of the runtimes.
You can connect multiple Pilot Flex batteries together for extended runtime. Are you interested in this option? Feel free to contact us for advice.
Charging the Pilot Flex
There are several ways to charge the Pilot Flex:
AC power supply
You can charge the Pilot Flex using the AC power supply of your own CPAP machine. It fully charges within 2 to 3 hours. With the ResMed AirMini, this may take 7 to 9 hours. For faster charging of the AirMini, the Medistrom AC power supply is recommended (you can order it separately in our online store).
USB-C
The battery can also be charged with a USB-C charger. A 45W charger is recommended. Charging with USB-C takes 4 to 6 hours. The USB-C port can't be used if a CPAP is connected to the battery.
Medistrom DC power supply or solar battery charger
You can also charge the battery with the Medistrom DC power supply or the Medistrom solar battery charger, available separately in our online store. When charging the battery with the DC power supply or the solar battery charger, the CPAP can't be connected to it.
Using the Pilot Flex on the plane
Would you like to use your CPAP on board of an airplane? You can! The Pilot Flex has a capacity of 98 watt-hours (Wh) and meets FAA requirements. We do recommend contacting your airline in advance to inform them that you’ll be bringing your CPAP and battery in your carry-on luggage. If needed, we can email you a travel letter for the battery.
TIP: Are you going to store the battery for an extended period of time? Make sure to fully charge it beforehand. The manufacturer also recommends recharging the battery every 6 months.
