For whom is the Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite CPAP Battery suitable?
For CPAP users traveling with their CPAP device.
Traveling with your CPAP machine
Experience the comfort of your familiar CPAP device when traveling, without mains power! Thanks to the Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite CPAP battery, you can enjoy a good night’s rest wherever you are. The battery allows you to use your CPAP in locations where you do not always have mains power nearby, for example at the campsite or on the plane. The Pilot-24 Lite is also very useful as a backup in the event of a power failure. An important advantage is that you can fully charge it within 2 to 3 hours (only the ResMed AirMini takes longer, about 5 hours). You charge the battery with the adapter of your own CPAP device. Optionally, you can order a Medistrom power adapter; this adapter is especially recommended when you own a ResMed AirMini, because it will charge the battery faster. When fully charged, you can use it for 1 or 2 nights, depending on a number of variables such as your therapy pressure.
TIP: To maximize the battery runtime, we recommend not using a humidifier or heated hose.
Medistrom has launched 2 different batteries: the Pilot-24 Lite and the Pilot-12 Lite. You can use the Pilot-24 Lite with the following CPAP devices:
ResMed AirSense 10 |
ResMed AirSense 11* |
ResMed AirMini |
Löwenstein Medical prisma SMART (SMART, SMART plus and SMART max) |
Löwenstein Medical prisma SOFT (SOFT, SOFT plus and SOFT max) |
ResMed S9* |
BMC G3 A20 |
BMC M1 Mini* |
Apex Medical iCH* |
Philips Respironics DreamStation Go Travel PAP* |
* For these models you’ll need to purchase a cable kit separately. You can do so by selecting your bundle at the bottom of this page. For the BMC M1 Mini, you'll also need the Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite AC Power Supply.
LED indicator and flashlight function
The LED indicator shows how far the battery is charged. The Pilot-24 Lite CPAP battery also has an integrated flashlight function. Very useful at the campsite if you need light at night to grab your smartphone or glasses. The battery has anti-slip feet on the bottom, so that it is always stable and cannot slip.
USB port for smartphone or tablet
The CPAP battery has a USB port that you can use to easily charge your smartphone, tablet or camera. Only do this when you have not connected a CPAP device to it. Use the included carrying case to safely store your CPAP battery. The battery is lightweight and easy to transport in your suitcase or backpack.
FAA approved
The battery has 95 watt hours (Wh) and has therefore been approved by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). You can take it with you on the plane. If you need one, we will send you a travel statement. Do you also want to charge the battery in the car, caravan, camper, boat or even outside in the sun? Then we recommend ordering the Medistrom DC power supply or the Medistrom solar battery charger. If you charge the battery with the DC cable (car cable) or with the solar battery charger, make sure your CPAP device is not connected to it.
TIP: The manufacturer recommends charging the battery every 6 months. On one side of the box you will find a diagram where you can note when you charged your battery for the last time.
