The benefits of a heated hose

When there is a large difference in temperature between the air in the CPAP hose and the ambient air (in the bedroom), condensation will form in the hose. Condensation is more likely to form if you use a humidifier and when it’s winter. Eventually, the condensation can even end up in your CPAP mask. Using a heated hose is the solution to this problem. Condensation is a thing of the past!

Heated hose with separate power adaptor

Some CPAP devices are equipped with a connection for a heated hose, other models aren’t. Are you using a CPAP device that doesn’t have a connection for a heated hose (Löwenstein Medical prisma SMART, for example)? Then the Hybernite Superday Rainout Control System will offer a solution. This system consists of a heated hose with a separate power adaptor (power supply and power cord). It’s compatible with almost any CPAP. You must connect the power cord to the mains. The on/off switch makes it easy to turn the heated hose on and off.

Note: Always use the heated hose in combination with a humidifier. Do not use a hose wrap. Always follow the instructions of the user manual when you're going to clean the hose.
