The inside of the OptiChamber Diamond is made of anti-static material, so that the aerosol remains longer in the holding chamber. This gives you more time to inhale. The inhalation valve has a low resistance, making inhalation even easier. Ideal for children and older people! The white exhalation valve on the top rises when you exhale. This allows you to see when you breathe in and out (or when your child breathes in and out) through the holding chamber. Are you breathing in too fast? Then you can hear a whistle. This way, you can further improve your inhalation technique.
A sophisticated design
The metered dose inhaler ‘adapter’ is flexible. This makes the OptiChamber Diamond compatible with all standard metered dose inhalers. The bottom is flat for better grip and safe storage. Thanks to its compact size, the holding chamber is ideal to take with you, for example to work or to school. The mouthpiece is stepped and has 2 sections with a different diameter: the front section has a smaller diameter than the other section. The smaller section is suitable for children, the larger section for older children and adults.
The OptiChamber Diamond is easy to disassemble and clean. The manufacturer recommends doing this every week. You can find the cleaning instructions in the user manual. It’s recommended to replace this product every year.
LiteTouch mask available separately
The Philips OptiChamber Diamond comes standard with a mouthpiece. Some people can’t use the mouthpiece properly and need a mask. This is especially the case with babies and children. The holding chamber is compatible with the Philips LiteTouch mask (available in 3 sizes). This mask has a soft membrane that fits perfectly on the skin. As a result, more medicine is delivered to the lungs and you’ll have less leaks. The mask is placed on the mouthpiece of the holding chamber.
