For people with a disease of the lower airways which is associated with increased mucus build op. This product is intended for use in the home environment or in a professional setting, such as a healthcare facility.
Compatible with the following PARI nebulisers: PARI LC PLUS, PARI LC STAR, PARI LC SPRINT, PARI LC SPRINT Junior, PARI LC SPRINT STAR, PARI LC SPRINT COMPACT, PARI LC SPRINT SP and PARI LL.
Not compatible with the PARI LC SPRINT SINUS, PARI LC SPRINT XLent, PARI LC SPRINT Tracheo and all PARI BABY nebulisers. Also, it can’t be used with masks.
You can use the PARI PEP S System alone for PEP therapy or in combination with a PARI nebuliser and compressor for combination therapy. So if you use it with a nebuliser, you’ll benefit from PEP therapy and nebuliser therapy simultaneously. It’s an efficient solution that will help you save time!
PEP therapy allows you to train your respiratory muscles and mobilise mucus. Breathing out into a PEP system against a certain resistance helps keeping the airways open.
The adjusting ring makes it easy to set the resistance. The smaller the hole, the greater the exhalation resistance. With the notch, you can fix the ring to the resistance you want. During use, it’s important to sit upright with the nose clip on your nose. Exhale calmly through the mouthpiece. The exhaled air comes out through the hole on the adjusting ring. Does the resistance feel comfortable? Then you’ve found the right resistance. Afterwards, you can cough to clear the mucus (don’t cough into the PEP S System itself!).

You can also use the PEP S System in combination with a PARI nebuliser and compressor. In this case, you don’t use the inhalation valve and mouthpiece of the nebuliser. You breathe out through the mouthpiece of the PEP S System and put the nose clip on your nose. Again, the exhaled air comes out through the hole on the adjusting ring. After the therapy, you can cough to clear the mucus.
The manufacturer recommends cleaning the PEP S System after each use. In the user manual you’ll find more instructions.
