- Note: These are the columns for the new High Flow version of the Inogen One G3 with 5 oxygen flow settings.
Inogen One G3 Columns (High Flow)
The Inogen One G3 portable oxygen concentrator continuously measures a number of parameters to guarantee safe and effective use. The quality of the columns (also known as sieves or sieve beds) is also monitored. The columns are an important part of the concentrator, because they filter the nitrogen out of the air. This way, purified oxygen remains.
If the quality of the sieves deteriorates, the message 'O2 Service Soon' will appear in the display. From that moment on, you can still use the concentrator safely for 30 days. To disappear the message temporarily, you can press the light button for 3 seconds. After 72 hours the message will come back.
Lifespan
The expected lifespan of Inogen One G3 columns is 12 to 18 months. It is recommended to use the concentrator on a regular basis, this will preserve the sieves' ability to filter nitrogen. This is because using the concentrator will dry the columns. Moist is bad for oxygen concentrators.
Change sieves
With the columns, a manual is included which explains how to change them. The procedure to change sieves is also available as PDF document.
