Description
Most important characteristics of the GCE Zen-O:
- One of the few portable oxygen concentrators with both continuous flow and pulse flow
- The amount of delivered oxygen is automatically increased when the user needs it
- Includes two batteries
For whom is the Zen-O suitable?
For the adult oxygen user who is looking for a portable oxygen concentrator with both a pulse flow and a continuous flow.
Why the Zen-O?
The smallest portable oxygen concentrators only give pulse flow, they do not produce enough oxygen to provide a continuous flow. Unfortunately pulse flow is not for everybody. Specifically for people needing a continuous flow but who are still active and mobile, GCE created this robust Zen-O portable oxygen concentrator.
The Zen-O is small and portable, but still powerful enough to provide a continuous flow of oxygen, next to its pulse flow settings. In pulse mode it can be set from 1.0 to 6.0 (in increments of 0.5), in continuous mode it provides up to 2 liters of oxygen per minute. This makes it a high-output concentrator that can easily serve the majority of oxygen users.
Weighing just over 5 kg including 2 batteries, the Zen-O can be carried or transported with the included cart. Furthermore it's extremely reliable and equipped with intuitive buttons and a clearly illuminated LCD screen. This makes the concentrator easy to operate for each and every user.
Tip: Are you going to travel by plane? Then it is recommended – or even required – to bring with you one or more extra batteries on board.
Pulse mode
The Zen-O has no less than 11 pulse settings (1.0 to 6.0), adjustable with increments of 0.5. This way the user of the Zen-O can select the exact right setting for an effective oxygen therapy.
Continuous flow
In the continuous flow mode, the Zen-O can deliver up to 2 liters of oxygen per minute. The lowest setting is 0.5 LPM, which can be raised with increments of 0.5 to a maximum of 2 LPM.
Advanced technology
The Zen-O uses technology that quietly adjusts the flow rate of oxygen in response to a user's breath rate. For example, if the user climbs some stairs and the device detects the need for more oxygen, it automatically increases the amount delivered to ensure they remain saturated. This makes the Zen-O extraordinary suitable for oxygen users with an active lifestyle.
Maintenance
The Zen-O is produced in Europe, using only high-quality parts and materials. GCE offers a warranty of 3 years or 15,000 hours of usage.
The concentrator is maintenance free: there are no filters to change or clean. The manufacturer only recommends to clean the outside weekly with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
Batteries
We supply the Zen-O with two batteries. Both batteries can be inserted into the Zen-O simultaneously, providing a double battery run time. This offers an autonomy of 8 hours at pulse setting 2.0 without charging.
Continuous flow Pulse flow 0.5 LPM - 6.0 hours 1.5 LPM - 2.5 hours 1.0 (11 mL) - 8.0 hours 4.0 (44 mL) - 4.5 hours 1.0 LPM - 3.5 hours 2.0 LPM - 1.5 hours 2.0 (22 mL) - 8.0 hours 5.0 (55 mL) - 4.0 hours 3.0 (33 mL) - 6.0 hours 6.0 (66 mL) - 3.5 hours Note: These battery times are based on two new Zen-O 12 cell batteries. The battery times of the different pulse flow settings are based on 18 breaths per minute. A higher breath rate will decrease the battery time.
Flying with GCE Zen-O
The Zen-O portable oxygen concentrator can be used on board of an aircraft and meets all the criteria of the US aviation organization Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This is confirmed by a red text on the back of the concentrator. Prior to the flight, a member of the cabin crew may ask you to show this label. What is included:
- Zen-O concentrator
- 2 x Zen-O 12 cell battery
- Carry bag
- Trolley
- Accessory bag
- AC power supply and cable
- DC power supply
- Manual
