For people who would like to train their inspiratory and expiratory muscles to improve their breathing. The Orygen Dual Valve is used for COPD, asthma, COVID-19 and dysphagia, among others, but athletes and singers also practise with it.
The Orygen Dual Valve is an IMT and PEP respiratory muscle trainer, which allows you to exercise inhalation and exhalation simultaneously. IMT is an abbreviation of Inspiratory Muscle Trainer. PEP stands for Positive Expiratory Pressure. It allows you to train your expiratory muscles. You can set the resistance beforehand. During the exercise, you breathe through the mouthpiece and have a nose clip on your nose.
The inspiratory resistance (for training the inhalation) and the expiratory resistance (for training the exhalation) are independently adjustable. The inspiratory resistance is adjustable between 0 and 70 cm H2O, the expiratory resistance between 0 and 80 cm H2O. Turn the wheel to increase or decrease the resistance. To increase the resistance, turn towards the +. To decrease resistance, turn towards the -. Stop turning once the arrow indicates the correct value.

3 series of 10 respirations, morning and evening.
3 series of 20 respirations, morning and evening.
3 series of 10 respirations, morning and evening.
It’s recommended to train 4 or 5 days a week. In the training diary you can record when and for how long you trained with the Orygen Dual Valve.
