Most important characteristics of the Cegla RC-Cornet:
- Medical device for pulmonary diseases and respiratory diseases
- Dilates the airways
- Loosens mucus
- Can be used in any body position
- Also available in a 'nasal' version (RC-Cornet N)
For whom is the Cegla RC-Cornet suitable?
For people with lung or respiratory diseases who want to breathe better and bring up mucus.
Loosen mucus
The Cegla RC-Cornet is a user-friendly medical device for people who want to get rid of mucus. As you exhale through the mouthpiece, your pulmonary alveolus will start to vibrate thanks to the oscillating positive pressure. As a result, the mucus will loosen and becomes fluid. Finish your respiratory therapy by coughing up the loosened mucus. These coughing techniques are also called "huffing".
Breathe better thanks to dilated airways
In addition to loosening stuck mucus, the RC-Cornet also functions as a respiratory trainer. Your respiratory tract will be dilated if you train on a regular basis. You will also be less likely to suffer from (persistent) cough.

Train your nose and nasal cavity with the RC-Cornet N – Nasal Cornet
There also exists a "nasal" version of the RC-Cornet: the RC-Cornet N – Nasal Cornet. This version allows you to train your nose and nasal cavity. Positive pressure creates oscillations while you’re exercising with your device. These oscillations massage the mucous membranes and help reducing swollen mucous membranes. Stuck mucus in the nose / nasal passages loosens and becomes liquid, thus freeing the upper airways. The Nasal Cornet relieves symptoms of chronic sinusitis, postnasal drip syndrome, bronchial hyperresponsiveness, and nasal spray addiction. Would you like to train both your nose and your airways? Then we recommend you to purchase the Nasal Cornet. The nose piece is easy to remove, so that you can train through your mouth.
Easy-to-use
You can use the RC-Cornet in any body position, so it doesn't matter if you sit or lie down during your breathing therapy. The device consists of a mouthpiece with valve hose, bow and silencer. In addition, a drying spatula and a stick are included with which you can assemble the various parts properly after cleaning.
You can choose from 5 different settings. To set it to the desired setting, simply turn the mouthpiece when you have it in your mouth. Settings 0, 1 or 2 allow you to dilate your airways and settings 3 and 4 allow you to dissolve mucus from your airways. Always start at setting 0. If you find the pressure too heavy while breathing, you can pull the mouthpiece 2 cm out of the bow. Do you feel like you have to cough? Then use huff coughing techniques to cough up the mucus.
How to clean the RC-Cornet?
Because the RC-Cornet comes into contact with mucus, it must be cleaned at least twice a week. The different parts are easy to disassemble. After disassembly, boil them in a washing-up bowl. For optimum hygiene, we recommend that you finish cleaning with the Cegla Microwave Cleaning Bag. This cleaning bag is ideal for medical devices. Please read the user manual for more information on the RC-Cornet.
