For healthcare professionals who would like to measure oxygen saturation in their patients and for individuals who would like to measure their own oxygen saturation. The device is suitable for use in hospitals, clinics and in the home environment. With the specific sensors, the Rossmax SA300 can be used on adults, children and babies.
The Rossmax SA300 is a user-friendly handheld pulse oximeter of Swiss design. While measuring, the colour display shows important values: oxygen saturation (SpO2), pulse rate, pulse strength and artery condition. The sensor has a shielded design that blocks ambient light. This is because ambient light can affect the measurement. The device comes standard with an adult sensor. Paediatric and neonatal sensors are available separately.
You can use the SA300 on batteries or mains power. 4 AA batteries and an AC power cable are supplied as standard. On batteries, you can use the pulse oximeter continuously for up to 15 hours. The device switches itself off automatically after 1 minute if you don’t use it. The pulse oximeter emits a beeping sound (alarm) when the oxygen saturation drops below the preset value. If you don’t want to hear no sound at all, you can push the sound button to activate the silent mode. The internal memory can store up to 999 measurements. You can choose an interval of 10, 30 or 60 seconds. The storage of the app is basically unlimited.
Unique to the Rossmax SA300 handheld pulse oximeter is ACT technology. ACT is short for Artery Check Technology. ACT adds a new parameter to measuring oxygen saturation: the artery condition. It’s the world's first pulse oximeter to display this. The SA300 analyses the SpO2 and pulse rate signals and looks at how stiff and calcified the artery is. You can see the results on the display. There are 6 levels, with 1 being the best level and 6 the worst. All this can help you see if you’re at risk of cardiovascular disease. Please note that the device doesn’t diagnose you. Always see a doctor if you’re having doubts about your health.

The accompanying Rossmax Healthstyle app is definitely recommended to get a personalised overview of your health. The app can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store or Google Play. Measurements from the SA300 pulse oximeter are transmitted to the app via Bluetooth. This allows you to follow the values in real-time in the app on your smartphone or tablet. The results are saved and displayed in graphs, giving you insight into long-term results. If necessary, the results can be monitored remotely by, for instance, caregivers. In order to do so, you’ll need to download the app both and you’ll need to grant your caregiver access to your data in the app. Other Rossmax devices are compatible with the Healthstyle app as well.
